Thank you for visiting this site. Here, to start with, are some details about myself.

I worked at the auctioneers Christies on first leaving University in 1978. After working, 1984-6, with Mother Theresa's Sisters in India and with the long-term homeless in London, I returned to University to study theology. I served as Curate (assistant minister) in outer Liverpool, 1989-92 and as Chaplain at Lincoln College, Oxford University, 1992-9; at Oxford I was also College Lecturer in Theology for Exeter College.I  was appointed Master of the Temple at the Temple Church in 1999; and am a visiting lecturer in Theology (New Testament) at King's College, London.

The Temple Church is one of the most beautiful and historic buildings in London, and is an active church within the Church of England. Our choir is internationally renowned. Choral Mattins here on a Sunday morning at 11.15, at which we listen to the choir sing, follow the 1662 prayer-book and hear the King James Bible, is among the highlights of London's worship and life.

My other chief interest is in the New Testament. My first book, The Four Witnesses (Harper San Francisco, 2000) was about the gospels. Then came The Gospel according to Paul (Harper SF 2004); The Da Vinci Code and the Secrets of the Temple; and Mary Magdalene (U.S. title: Beloved Disciple). All are available through Amazon UK and Amazon USA. For further details of these books, please visit my books page.

If you are due to be in London and have an opportunity to visit us at the Temple Church for a service, it will be a pleasure to welcome you here.
The Revd Robin Griffith-Jones
Master of the Temple
